The homeless man hailed a hero in the wake of the Manchester Arena bombing has been charged with the theft of a bank card from a woman injured in the attack.
Chris Parker, 33, of no fixed abode, has been charged with two counts of theft, Greater Manchester Police revealed in a short statement this evening.
He has been remanded to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court tomorrow.
Police said: "The charges relate to a bank card being stolen from the Manchester Arena on the evening of 22 May 2017."
More than £50,000 was raised via a GoFundMe campaign to help Mr Parker turn his life around following his brave actions helping the injured in the wake of the bombing.
